Walkers DeLuxe 8 Years Old is a vintage bourbon distilled at Hiram Walkers facility in Peoria, Illinois. It matured for 8 years and was bottled in the 1970s at 86 proof. Hiram Walker opened the distillery in Peoria after Prohibition ended. At the time, it was the largest distillery in the world! The Peoria distillery stopped making whiskey in 1981, when it was taken over by ADM and switched to producing ethanol.
