Part of Bordeauxs new generation, Julien Mingot produces small-batch wines that emphasise terroir and precision. His LHorizon comes from Pomerols clay and gravel soils, where Merlot excels and Cabernet Franc adds fragrance. The 2019 vintage is deeply coloured and perfumed, with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and violets, touched by mocha and spice. On the palate it is plush and concentrated, with velvet-smooth tannins and a mineral freshness that keeps it lifted. A wine of depth and elegance, capable of ageing a decade or more.
