Horse Soldier Bourbon Whiskey is crafted by a group of ex-Special Forces vets from Operational Detachment Alpha Team 595 nicknamed the Horse Soldiers. After sticking together through thick and thick, the group of friends got together nearly 20 years after their military service and continued their service in a different way: this time, by making award-winning all-natural, all-American Bourbon at their American Freedom Distillery.

Horse Soldier 12 Year Old is their most special, premium offering: its crafted from the oldest barrels in their signature Reserve collection. The mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley was aged for a magic number of 12 years in new American White Oak before it was bottled at 48.5% ABV. It immediately won Double Gold at the 2019 San Fran Spirits Competition. 1 of 1,000 bottles.
