From the Fuligni familys 10 hectare estate east of Montalcino, Ginestro is produced from younger vines of the same Brunello parcels, grown on a mix of marl and sand at 350 m. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel with about 18 days maceration; maturation follows for 15 months in large Slavonian casks. The 2022 shows ripe cherry, cedar, tobacco and a touch of balsam, with silky tannins and lifted acidity. Its an elegant, finely balanced Rosso that mirrors the houses Brunello style refined structure, savoury length and subtle power.
