On Friday the 13th November 2009 our winery burnt to the ground. This tragedy could have been much worse, had it not been for the hard work of the North Canterbury Volunteer Fire Service. This “From the Ashes” label is dedicated to all the people who helped The Crater Rim, RISE “From the Ashes”.

A lovely rich expression of the variety, the wonderfully lifted bouquet shows nectarine, mango, feijoa and lemon zest characters, followed by a succulent palate that is bright and flavoursome. The wine offers generous fruit intensity and weight, brilliantly supported by juicy acidity, finishing long and delectable.
