They came to be used by brewery workers during the Edo period (1603-1868), and were developed to support the workers hips and posture. This dark red apron from Kamikokoro Brewing Company features a convenient pocket, and bears the brewery logo as well as the companys beloved, rice-shaped character, Komeno Umami-chan!
