Leopold Bros. was founded byTodd and Scott Leopoldin 1999. Todd has degrees in Malting and Brewing and Scott has his degrees in Economics and Industrial Engineering. These two brothers have since done the sensible thing andfounded a distillery first in Michigan, then moving everything back to their home state ofColorado. Their core lineup today iswinning lots of awardsand consists of Gins, Straight and Flavored Whiskies, Vodka, Aperitifs, an Absinthe Vert, and a few other tidbits.

Leopold Bros. Bottled In Bond Straight Bourbon is one of the newest Whiskies from Leopold Bros. It just came out for the first time in 2020 and were all glad it did. The mash bill is 64% corn, 21% malted barely, and 15% Abruzzi Heritage Rye. Now if youre a Whiskey fan, you know that barley is NEVER the second grain in the mash bill. It is too expensive and too hard to work with. But it is the best and it also adds floral aromas to the Spirit. But there you have it. The Spirit is pot distilled, aged for five years in new charred oak and bottled unfiltered at 50% ABV.
